Credit Card Debt Free

Omigod… It took about two years of aggressive tackling of my credit card balance and finally, finally…! I just finished paying off the last credit card I have that still has a balance in it and yay!!! I’m free!!!

And mind you, I also paid off my credit card before I lose my 0% introductory APR! Such an achievement!

I know that it’s nothing to some people but if you’re like me, who came back to the US, got her job in August 2015 and then got their first family house in September of the same year, there was really no chance for me to really save money because I started pouring my earnings to paying bills. It took me five years to finally get it together but who cares. I have my own pace to run…

Anyway, I only have about two months left to pay off my car too so woot! At that point, I am financially free! And boy, does it feels so good!

Since this year started, I’ve been into being financially independent so I’m trying hard to be on track. My next goal is to build an 8 month emergency fund/contribute to my ROTH IRA (besides my ROTH 401k). And the only way I can do this is if I pay myself first so that’s what imma do.

Instead of using all my money to pay for bills and whatnot, I will first set aside money to go to my savings and then pay bills. That way, I am sure I have something saved and invested right off the bat. And at the same time, promote frugality because of course, if I don’t have money left, I’ll be forced to limit my spending. HAHA!

I don’t know if it’s something that I’ll be successful with but hey, I gotta start somewhere so pray for me… HAHA!
