Do you have a bad book habit?

I can’t say it’s a bad book habit. But I have this personality trait that I finish whatever I started so even if I am not exactly feeling the book I’m reading, I’ll still push through it even if it’s so dreadful and consumes so much time.

What is the longest book you’ve ever read?

That would be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at 759 pages.

Would you rather give up reading for one year or watching TV/movies for one year?

This is tough… Because I love both and actually incorporated both activities in my daily routine… So I guess for practicality purposes (because I am the only one who likes to read in the whole family), I’ll give up reading for a year……………………………….. But know that this is not an easy decision for me!

What bookish world would you love to visit?

Honestly, who wouldn’t want to live in the magical world of Harry Potter and attend Hogwarts? But that’s such a generic answer so I’d choose the next best world to me and that is to live on Earth amongst the demigods and the trendy Gods and Goddesses! I’d like to be in the world where Percy Jackson lives!

Who is your most beloved literary character?

Because the memory of them is still so fresh in my whole being, I would choose Jude and Cardan. They literally threw me in an awesome roller coaster ride that made me scream at my book repeatedly because… FEELS!!!

Jude and Cardan

But my other favorites would be Hermione (Harry Potter Series), Katniss (The Hunger Game Series), Circe, Viola (Chaos Walking), Elizabeth Bennet. A lot of girl power, ahihihi!

If you could only read one genre for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

Definitely YA. I loved it when I was younger, and I still love it as an adult. It could be a fictional story or a fantasy book. I’ll take them all in!

What upcoming release are you most excited for?

I loved Bird Box! It’s such a chilling and tragic story. I don’t really read horror stories but I was so taken by this debut novel that I just couldn’t stop reading. So of course, I’ll be soooo looking forward to Malorie!

And well, because I’m still so obsessed with The Folk of the Air trilogy, of course I’m looking forward to How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories (wow, that’s such a long title)!

Which character would you most like to dress up as?

Has a book ever changed your life or influenced it in a poignant way?

It’s regretful that I haven’t read as much classics as I would love to but I’m fortunate enough that I decided to pick up this book about 5 years ago. To Kill A Mockingbird is such a moving story that really got to me. This books needs to continue being part of kid’s curriculum in school.

The Hate U Give is another great book that tackles sensitive issues that will surely make you uncomfortable. And I’m saying this as a way of praise because this story was able to resonate to a lot of people by speaking the truth. It was well written. The movie was also so good! I can’t help but shed tears.

There’s a lot of great influential books but I’ll end this list with His Dark Materials series. A rather controversial portrayal of religion as we know it. I like how they touched on the loss of innocence as well. I can understand how a lot of people don’t really appreciate this series but I really got immersed in it.

What is the title of your latest 5 star read?

The Queen of Nothing, from The Folk of the Air trilogy. Mind you, I rated all three books 5 stars! It’s that good!!!

What was your favorite book when you were a child?

Me, loving to read a book, was actually an accidental thing. I think I was in fifth grade when I got Goosebumps as a present. For some reason, I started reading it and got obsessed with it! From then on, I craved to read more and ultimately developed my book love more and more.
