Adulting is Hard

So when I came back to the US in April 2015 after staying in the Philippines for a couple of years to finish a short art course and work for two companies in Makati and BGC, it took several months for me to get a job.

So during those time, I spent my time helping out with relatives, job searching and house scouting.

In August, I got a job and in September, we got our own family house and I started contributing to the house expenses right away.

That’s tough.

There wasn’t even a buffer time for me to just save money for myself coz by then, a huge part of my paycheck was allocated to paying part of the mortgage.

And then I got into an accident and totaled my car in 2016 so I had no choice but to buy a brand new car (brand new because I plan to use it for 10 years anyway). And since it was not a simple accident, I had to go to the hospital that cost me a hefty amount of money for a ridiculously simple treatment. (I got a tetanus toxoid shot and the doctor just shook my hand. HE FUCKING SHOOK MY HAND and they billed me almost 3000$ for the ER and ambulance fee!!!!)

I’m still paying for those hospital bills…

And of course, with a new car comes the car loan and a significantly more expensive car insurance.

I’m not gonna lie, it’s hard juggling all those especially that I don’t really get paid a lot for my job.
